During this Lenten Season, we are telling stories.

These stories include stories of Creation, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses and more. These are our stories of faith… but there are more!

What stories do you tell? Have you told someone the story of your baptism? The first Bible you got? Your favorite Sunday School teacher?

Please, share your stories here… and share your stories with your family and friends. So often, we learn more about our own faith from hearing the stories from others.

I can’t wait to hear your stories!

Remembering

Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.

A powerful reminder of our mortality on this Ash Wednesday.

There is promise in that reminder, though.

From death, God brings new life.

Blessings to you on your Lenten journey and may you find new life in returning to God.

“Return to the LORD, your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.”

~Joel 2:13

Wednesday, Feb 1

St John Lutheran will be having regular scheduled activities this evening.

Worship on Wednesday, at 6pm, will be a prayer and healing service.

“The way God designed our bodies is a model for understanding our lives together as a church: every part dependent on every other part, the parts we mention and the parts we don’t, the parts we see and the parts we don’t. If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt and in the healing.” ~1 Corinthians 12:25-26
